New first team coach speaks to millwallfc.co.uk
New first team coach Nigel Gibbs says that his move to Millwall took just 10 minutes to sort out.
Nigel held his first session with The Lions on Monday morning and will support assistant manager Marc Bircham and boss Ian Holloway with the senior squad.
The 49-year-old arrives at The Den with a wealth of experience having coached at Watford, where he spent his entire playing career, as well as Reading and Leeds.
A close friend of former Millwall boss Kenny Jackett, Nigel is excited to be working alongside manager Ollie for the first time.
"I got a phone call from Ian and he told me that he is looking to add to his staff," Nigel told millwallfc.co.uk.
"He explained to me what the role was going to be and straight away I said yes. Within 10 minutes everything was agreed. I know what Ollie is all about and I'm really looking forward to working with him and the rest of the coaching staff.
"I've been at a few clubs before so I've got a lot of experience in this division. It's a tough League and I hope that I can help out.
"It's a great opportunity for me and I'm excited about being back out there on the grass and working with players."
