Alfie Pavey signs new deal

7 December 2014

Striker pledges future to The Lions

Exciting young striker Alfie Pavey has this afternoon pledged his future to Millwall and penned a new two-and-a-half year contract at The Den until June 2017.

Speaking to Alfie beamed: "I'm absolutely delighted; I would like to thank Chopper, the gaffer, Scott (Fitzgerald), Dave Livermore, Justin Skinner and Birchy as well - I really couldn't be happier."

Alfie, 19, initially joined The Lions from Maidstone United on a two-year academy scholarship in May 2013 after bagging an incredible 124 goals during the Stones' Conference Youth Alliance title success.

He added: "When I first came here I didn't know what I was coming in to. I've been here for a while now and I couldn't ask for a better manager under Neil Harris. I've got a lot more to work on, but I'm getting there and I've just signed a new deal so I've got a lot more time to keep on working on my game."

Alfie enjoyed a spell on loan at Barnet in October, making three appearances for the Conference side and has established himself as a regular for Millwall's U21s this season, most recently scoring in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town at The Den.
