No trains from London Bridge to South Bermondsey

30 August 2014

Important information for Lions fans visiting The Den

We would like to remind Millwall supporters travelling from central London that due to planned Network Rail engineering work, there will be no Southern or First Capital Connect train services to or from London Bridge station today.

As a result, there will be no trains between London Bridge and South Bermondsey. Instead, you are advised to use London Overground services to and from Surrey Quays.

This will affect fans attending today's home game with Blackpool.

The message from Thameslink in full is:

• Southern services will not operate to and from London Bridge and a revised service will operate across the network during this period.

• First Capital Connect Thameslink route services will not call at London Bridge; they will be diverted via an alternative route between Blackfriars and East Croydon. These services will not stop at Redhill.

• Southeastern services will continue to run to, from and through London Bridge, but services will be busier.

• Some other National Rail, London Underground and London Overground services and stations may be busier than usual for this time of year.

Alternative routes are available - please check before you travel: First Capital Connect, Southern, Southeastern and Transport for London.

National Rail tickets will be accepted on any reasonable route on London Overground, First Capital Connect, Southern, Southeastern, South West Trains, London Underground, London Tramlink, DLR and London Buses. Ticket will not be accepted on Southeastern Highspeed or Gatwick Express.
