Lions drawn at home to Premier League side
Millwall have been drawn at home to Premier League side Southampton in the Capital One Cup Second Round following Wednesday night's draw.
It will be the first time The Lions have played Southampton in the League Cup since 2006/7 when a Saints side including a certain Gareth Bale won 4-0 at The Den, with two of their goals coming in the final two minutes.
The Southampton side on that occasion featured Richard Chaplow, who is now a Millwall player and will be eagerly looking forward to the tie later this month as will Lions striker Ricardo Fuller, who scored nine goals in 22 starts for Saints during the 2005/6 campaign.
However Millwall gained sweet revenge when the sides last locked horns in the FA Cup, securing a 3-2 victory in dramatic fashion courtesy of a last-gasp goal from Liam Feeney at St Marys in February 2012.
The Lions, one of 25 unseeded clubs in the draw, will play the tie week commencing Monday 25th August. Ticket selling details will follow in due course.
