Club say 'Thankyou' to popular midfielder
Millwall Lionesses are sad to announce that first team regular and popular midfielder Leeta Rutherford has decided to leave the squad due to family commitments.
Following length discussions, the Club and Leeta both decided that, with her young family and the extensive travel to and from her home town of Portsmouth, it was in the best interest of both parties to part ways.
A Lionesses statement said: "We would all like to thank Leeta for the commitment she has shown to her team-mates and for her passion for the club. We wish her well with her career moving forward and hope to see her again in the FA WSL.
"Leeta is a fantastic footballer and will go far with which ever club she may join in the future. Everyone at the Lionesses will miss her around the club."
