Kylie Davies: It's a must-win game for us

Lionesses face Durham in WSL2 clash today

Millwall Lionesses aim to get back to winning ways this afternoon when WSL2 side Durham visit Beckenham Town FC (2pm).

The Lionesses have fond memories of their last encounter with Durham back in April when a Lillie Billson hat-trick helped the team to a 4-1 win at New Ferens Park - their first win of the WSL season.

However the Lionesses have suffered successive defeats in their last two outings and go into action today determined to rediscover their early-season form.

Defender Kylie Davies said: "

It is a must-win game, we know the league is out of our hands but we need to push to finish as high up the table as possible.

"Durham is going to be a good competitive game and one we need to win.

It was disappointing to go all the way to Sunderland last time out and lose 4-0. I do not think the result reflected on our performance, or the game itself.

"We suffered an injury and a change in formation unsettled the team a bit, but to concede four goals was disappointing."

The visit of Durham offers an opportunity for Millwall to move towards the top half of the table, yet it won't be easy as the visitors have just one FA Women’s Super League 2 win to their name this season and will be desperate to find a late-season run of form.

Tickets will be available on the gate at Beckenham Town FC priced at £5 for adults and £2 for U16s.
