Holloway wants a repeat performance

22 August 2014

Boss calls for similar 'quality, intensity and belief'

Millwall manager Ian Holloway has called on his side to recreate their first four performances of 2014/15 against Rotherham United on Saturday.

The Lions have picked up seven points from the first nine available in the League and also defeated Wycombe in the Capital One Cup First Round to secure a four-match unbeaten streak to begin the new campaign.

Saturday's game with Rotherham is the first of three straight matches at The Den and Ollie can't wait for his side to test themselves against Steve Evans' men.

"What a fantastic, exciting, intense eight days we've got coming up," the boss says in his matchday programme column. "Let's see if we can keep our run going for a bit longer yet.

"What a job Steve (Evans) has done there with back-to-back promotions taking their club back up to the Championship, and I'm sure they will prove to be very competitive at this level too.

"I'm expecting another close, hard fought game, but if we can continue in the same vein as we have been, and play with the same quality, intensity and belief we have been showing, we will give ourselves every chance of getting another positive result."

Read much more from Ollie in Saturday's edition of The Lion, available to purchase around the ground for just £3.
