Holloway senses unity ahead of season opener

Boss Ollie looks ahead to 'terrific' game

Manager Ian Holloway wants Millwall's fans to be part of something special in 2014/15 - starting against Leeds United at The Den this Saturday.

The Whites visit SE16 in a tantalising opening fixture and Ollie, speaking in his matchday programme notes, says his squad have worked incredibly hard over pre-season in preparation for the campaign ahead.

"During the summer we have geared all we do to a different way of thinking, with the emphasis on believing in ourselves and in our club," he says.

"With the players, we have been trying to change their perception of everything connected with Millwall by providing them with excellent facilities, good pitches to train on, first class accommodation when we went away to Portugal and so on.

"We are trying to develop our own modern, entertaining brand of football and give our fans the chance to be part of something here."

He adds: "This may not all come together straight away, but we will keep working and working and working until we get it right.

"I can assure you that every one of them who pulls on that blue shirt will be trying their heart out for you (the fans) and this club. If they don't do that as a bare minimum they won't be in my team for very long."
