Foodbank is back this Saturday

8 August 2014

Help us to help our local community

Last season Millwall supporters generously donated 414.84kg of food and essential items to our local Foodbank in Peckham.

The food fed 29 adults and 60 children who were in genuine short-term need for a variety of reasons.

Starting on Saturday against Leeds United we are aiming to beat that total, and once again demonstrate that we at Millwall make a practical contribution to caring for our local community.

Donations of any of the following items can be made in boxes by the Blue Bus in the main car park and will be gratefully received: tinned meat, UHT milk, sugar, fruit juice (cartons), soup, pasta sauces, sponge pudding (tinned), tomatoes (tinned), cereals, rice pudding (tinned), tea bags/instant coffee, instant mash potato, rice, vegetables (tinned), fruit (tinned), biscuits or snack bars.

In addition, other essentials including shampoo, soap, washing powder, disposable nappies are also welcome.

Items not needed at the moment are baked beans and pasta.
