Josh Wright joining Nicola Robinson in running Sunday's London MarathonMillwall midfielder Josh Wright is a late entrant into this year's London Marathon, which takes place in the capital this Sunday 13th April.
Josh, whose place in the run was only confirmed on Thursday morning, is raising money for Caudwell Children, a charity providing support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children and their families in the UK.
As a result of his late entry the 24-year-old has been unable to get any long distance training under his belt, but told Lions Player that he's looking forward to the challenge.
"The gaffer has given me the go ahead but has warned me that it's very tough because he's done it before," Josh said.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's for a good cause and I know it will be tough but I wanted to take this opportunity in my career to go and do something good."
Josh will be joined on the streets of London by Nicola Robinson, wife of Millwall skipper Paul, who is taking part in her first-ever marathon.
Nicola is raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, Millwall's sponsors for this 2013/14 season, and can't wait to get going on Sunday.
"This has always been an ambition of mine and what with the close working links that Millwall have with Prostate Cancer UK, plus the fact that they kindly offered me a space to run for them, it was the ideal time," she told Lions Player.
"Paul has been helpful with the nutrition side of it and has been very supportive."
