Millwall Lionesses will play their first ever FA WSL game at The Den against London Bees on Sunday - and the game can't come quick enough says skipper Dionne Lennon.

The Lionesses have made a promising start to the new campaign, kicking off with a 2-2 draw at Watford and then following up with a thumping 4-1 success at Durham last weekend.

But it's their first match on home soil in SE16 that has really got the team fired up, as Dionne explains. She said: "We're delighted to be able to play at The Den and we're really excited to kick-off our first game there.

"Initially we thought our home games were going to be played elsewhere but when we got offered this chance we jumped at it. It's a great atmosphere and a fantastic playing surface – probably the best in the league.

"We're aiming high and don't see any reason why we can't win the league. We think we can contest with the likes of Sunderland and Doncaster Belles and are hoping to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

"The Bees had a great start to their season and were on fire in their 3-0 win at Oxford, so this weekend should make for an exciting derby game - and it's one that we are determined to win."
