17 April 2014

Keeper earns your vote

David Forde has been crowned Millwall's Player of the Year after winning this season's fans' vote.

The Irish keeper, 34, has been in supreme form once again in 2013/14, and goes one better than this time last year when he finished runner-up to Danny Shittu for the award.

Fordey has made 36 appearances so far this term, keeping eight clean sheets, and has continued to replicate his good form at club level on to the international stage, where he remains the Republic of Ireland's number one.

Scott Malone and Martyn Woolford finished second and third respectively in this year's voting.
