Waghorn praises team-mates after Leeds win

Loan striker Martyn Waghorn says he and his team-mates are growing in confidence after goals from Martyn Woolford and Scott Malone secured a 2-0 win over Leeds United at The Den.

The Lions also hit the woodwork twice, once from Waghorn himself, in a thoroughly satisfying afternoon for boss Steve Lomas.

"The boys played very well," Waghorn told millwallfc.co.uk. "Millwall and Leeds game are full of tension and commitment. The first-half was quite even but in the second we found our feet, worked the ball well and could maybe have got more than the two goals.

"You can't complain, though. Scoring twice and keeping a clean sheet was the perfect way to keep our run going.

"The dressing room is bouncing at the moment. There are some good, experienced pros here and they help you along the way. It's up to us to keep going now, particularly over the next week with two tough away games coming up."
