Derby win a crucial one, says Robbo
Lions skipper Paul Robinson had nothing but praise for the the 'commitment and desire' shown by the team in the 1-0 win over London rivals Charlton Athletic.
Scott McDonald's deflected first-half effort turned out to be the winning goal and Robbo, named Man of the Match by Sky, was particularly delighted with the club's first clean sheet of the season.
"As defenders we haven't been too pleased with how we've performed in a few games," he told millwallfc.co.uk. "But we were solid from start to finish today in what was a very important game for us.
"It was a huge team effort and once we went in front you could see how much the players wanted it. We wanted to back up Tuesday's result and we didn't really need any motivation coming into the game today.
"The intensity we've shown in the last two games is our benchmark now and we have to build from here and try to keep pushing up the table.
"Everybody played for the shirt today and I think the fans could see that. The three points are massive for us and it's a great win for the supporters. They were excellent from the first minute to the last and deserved the result."
