Robbo relishing Leeds clash

Skipper Paul Robinson is determined to play his part and help steer Millwall to a third successive win when Leeds United visit The Den this Saturday (3pm).

The saying goes that a week is a long time in football, and never has that been truer; just seven days ago The Lions were rock bottom of the Championship table and without a league win in six starts.

But a welcome victory against table-topping Blackpool (3-1) followed up with a derby success at Charlton Athletic (1-0) hoisted Millwall up to 17th in the table with a four-point gap clear of the drop zone.

"It was a huge team effort against Charlton," enthused Robbo, "and once we went in front you could see how much the players wanted it."

He added: "We wanted to back up Tuesday's result against Blackpool and we didn't really need any motivation coming into the game.

The intensity we've shown in the last two games is our benchmark now and we have to build from here and try to keep pushing up the table."
