Steve Morison will be hoping that his return to The Valley for Saturday's lunchtime kick-off proves to be a little less eventful than his last appearance there for Millwall back in December 2009.Goals from Jermaine Easter and a Shane Lowry cracker secured bragging rights for Millwall when they last played Charlton in March and recorded a 2-0 win, but the previous meeting in SE7 proved just as memorable as the teams shared eight goals in a thriller.
Steve, speaking to our new official YouTube channel, recalled: "I remember scoring a couple and we were pretty comfortable, but then Jimmy (Abdou) got sent off and I managed to score an own goal to put them 4-3 up and I thought 'Oh God, that wasn't the best thing to do'!
Luckily Schoey (Danny Schofield) popped up with a great equaliser. It was a fantastic game, but I do remember it being very, very cold as well."
Steve, who marked his return from an abdominal operation with a cracking goal in Tuesday night's win against table-topping Blackpool, is hoping to be involved when The Lions and Addicks lock horns again tomorrow.
He added: "We're all looking forward to the game and hope that we can build on our result against Blackpool and record back-to-back wins in this League.
Blackpool came to us top of the table because they had a decent run of wins, and if you can put a run of a wins together you can climb the table very quickly - and that's what we will be hoping to do."
