AFC Bournemouth's home, originally opened in 1910, underwent a complete rebuild in 2001, with the pitch rotated 90 degrees from its original position and the ground also moved away from adjacent housing.
During the summer, and following the club's promotion to the Championship, a new 2,400 seater stand was built on the undeveloped end of the ground, and named after former striker Ted MacDougall. The North Stand opposite is also named after a Cherries legend, Steve Fletcher.
