Lions look to end nine-year wait

Millwall travel to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday looking to record their first win over The Royals since 2004.

On that day Danny Dichio scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory, but Reading have won five of the seven meetings since then, including a 2-1 victory at The Den in March 2012 - the last encounter between the two clubs.

Millwall's last visit to the Madejski Stadium came in August 2011 when goals from Darius Henderson and John Marquis looked set to secure an impressive 2-0 win, only for Reading substitute Mathieu Manset to score two late goals to ensure a share of the spoils.

In League action, the two clubs have met on 88 previous occasions and it is Reading who hold the upper hand with 36 victories to Millwall's 33. 19 have ended all-square.

The Lions have faced the The Royals six times in Cup competitions, winning twice, two ending even, and Reading victorious in the other two games, both in the FA Cup.
