Young Lions shine against Tractor BoysMillwall's Under 21s put in an impressive display at The Den on Tuesday afternoon, scoring three excellent goals in the process to record an emphatic 3-0 win against Mark Kennedy's Ipswich youngsters.
Niall McManus opened the scoring on 22 minutes when he curled home a right footed stunner from 20 yards, before Jack Powell more than matched it with an inch perfect 25 yard free-kick.
Not surprisingly Chopper was delighted with his side's efforts saying: "Firstly I thought the senior players in the side to get a bit of a workout were first class and the opportunity for the younger lads to play alongside people like Shane Lowry and Steve Morison will have benefited them no end in terms of their learning.
All the goals were quality, but Charlie Penny's touch and finish for the third reminded me of Gianfranco Zola, it was that good.
