Scott McDonald casts his expert eye over the various World Cup Qualifiers taking place this week

All is quiet on the Premier League and Championship front at the moment with international football taking centre stage once more as qualifying for next year's World Cup in Brazil heating up.

England face crucial games with Montenegro and Poland at Wembley as they bid to secure their passage through to the tournament as group winners, hoping to avoid the need to qualify through Play-Offs.

Various other top nations face big tests over the next five days if they're to make it Brazil, and one man who will keeping a keen eye on the progress of numerous nations is striker Scott McDonald who today displayed remarkable knowledge of the international game to Lions Player.

McDonald, who has over 20 caps for Australia, is hoping his form for The Lions throughout the season will prompt Socceroos manager Holger Osieck to call on his services come next summer, and as his country have already qualified for the tournament, he has been casting his expert eye over games elsewhere as the qualifying stage reaches its climax.
