Lomas focusing on Lions strengthsMillwall boss Steve Lomas has stressed to his side that they should focus their attentions on playing to their strengths against Bournemouth, and worrying less about the opposition.
The Lions travel to the south coast looking to bounce back from Tuesday night's 4-0 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City, and Lomas, speaking to Lions Player, has apologised to the Millwall supporters who made the journey up to St Andrew's.
"The good things that we did against Blackpool, Charlton and Leeds, we forgot to do against Birmingham," he admitted.
"We had warned the boys what Birmingham were about; a team full of energy, running, and you had to start on the front foot which we didn't.
"Massive apologies to those travelling fans because they were short changed, no doubt about it."
Lomas expects Eddie Howe's Cherries to provide another stern test at the Goldsands Stadium on Saturday, but says his side must impose themselves better on the opposition.
"Bournemouth will pass it, probe, and work. All credit to them, they went down to 10 men in the last two game but they've stuck at it. They've got a spirit about them but we can't worry too much about Bournemouth, we have to think about ourselves and how we cause teams problems."
