Webb's woe

27 November 2013

Injury blow for Callum

Millwall's promising young defender Callum Webb has suffered a season-ending knee injury playing for the U18s in their win at Swansea over the weekend.

Lions physio Bobby Bacic confirmed: "Callum has ruptured his knee anterior cruciate ligament and medial ligament. He is booked in for surgery this weekend.

Although this injury is serious, we have two players at the club who have recovered from this injury early in their careers, these being Paul Robinson and Danny Shittu.

Both Paul and Danny were quick to seek Callum out to offer support to him. We will update everyone on Callum's progress in the coming weeks."

Everyone at the Club wishes Callum all the best in his recovery over the coming months.
