Walking for charity

11 November 2013

Lions fan Lois undertakes challenge

Lions fan Lois Whipple has written in asking if we could help her publicise a charity walk that she and some friends are undertaking for Children In Need - and we are delighted to do so.

Lois, great grand-daughter of legendary Millwall supporter Frank Whipple, explains: "Me and my friends are raising funds for BBC Children in Need with a 15-mile walk from our college in Loughton, Essex, to Great Ormond Street Hospital this Friday 15th November.

There are five of us doing the walk - Danielle Winwright, Claira Cooper, Emmy Mann, Coral Barnes and myself, Lois Whipple - and we all in our last year studying Childcare at Epping Forest College.

We are doing this walk because raising money to support children is something we are all very passionate about and we'd really appreciate your support.

You can make a donation via my page - it's easy, fast and totally secure!

JustGiving sends our donation straight to BBC Children in Need and, if you're a UK tax payer, automatically reclaims Gift Aid on BBC Children in Need's behalf, making your donation go further. What's more, JustGiving will never spam or sell your details.

I hope you'll join me in supporting BBC Children in Need."
