Central midfielder Fred Onyedinma, a regular in Millwall's U21 and U18 Development sides, has committed his future to the club by signing a professional contract at The Den until the summer of 2016.

Onyedinma, who turned 17 on Sunday, picked up both the Schoolboy Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year trophies at the end of last season, and has continued his progress as a player since, often training with the first team as well as featuring regularly for Neil Harris' U21 side.

Academy Director Scott Fitzgerald said: "We're delighted that Fred is staying with us and is now a member of the senior ranks. As a player he is progressing very well, and we're delighted that he has shown his commitment to the club by signing a professional contract."

Meanwhile, U21 Development Squad duo Jack Powell and Niall McManus have signed for Concord Rangers and Carshalton Athletic respectively. Powell, a midfielder, has agreed a youth loan with Rangers until 19th December, whilst McManus has moved to Carshalton on a temporary transfer until December 15th.
