100-page programme for Heroes in White gameThroughout November, Millwall are raising awareness and money for club parter Prostate Cancer UK with the Heroes in White campaign.
The Lions have been granted special dispensation from the Football League to wear our all-white away strip for the game against Barnsley on Saturday 23rd of this month, and during the month £5 from every away shirt sold in the Club Shop will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
As well, our Executive Lounge here at The Den will be decorated in white on the day, including chair covers and flowers kindly donated by Classic Events and A.G. Flowers respectively, whilst there will also be a special one-off menu for our VIP guests on the day too.
On top of all that, a bumper 100-page edition of matchday programme The Lion is also being produced, complete with a special white re-design for the cover, as pictured.
As well as all the usual news, interviews and features, that afternoon's edition of The Lion will contain a vast array of content from Prostate Cancer UK - all aimed at raising awareness of a disease which around one in eight men in the UK will suffer with at some point in their lives.
Ahead of the game against The Tykes, Millwall fan Brian Kilgannon, who diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in the summer of 2012, has been speaking to Lions Player about his life supporting The Lions, but more importantly to help spread Prostate Cancer UK's potentially life-saving message.
