Defender Shittu pens new Lions contractMillwall defender Danny Shittu has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract at The Den which will see him remain with the club until June 2015.
The 32-year-old's current deal was set to expire next month but the centre-back, who, in place of Paul Robinson, captained the side for most of the 2012/13 season, has decided to extend his stay with The Lions.
"There's been a couple months of talks and I'm delighted to have got it done," Danny told Lions Player. "We have had a lot of ups and for me to be staying here shows that I believe in this club and I believe a lot can come from it."
Chief Executive Andy Ambler added: "We're delighted that Danny has committed himself to the club for another two years. We were keen to ensure that the foundations Kenny Jackett has put in place would be available for the new manager to build on and Danny was a key element of that."
