'It's going to be a big occasion' says Shane
Lions left-back Shane Lowry hopes to take a leaf out of Tim Cahill's book and help Millwall to the FA Cup Final.
Midfielder Tim wrote himself into the history books when he scored the match-winner against Sunderland in that never-to-be-forgotten Semi Final at Old Trafford on 04/04/04.
Speaking to website 'The World Game', Shane spoke of his determination to follow in his fellow Aussie's footsteps.
He said:"I remember watching that semi and also the final itself (which Millwall lost 3-0) and I have followed Millwall ever since.
Playing Blackburn at home is a massive opportunity for us to get to the semis – and if you do that then anything is possible.
It's the dream of most players to play at Wembley in a final and the FA Cup is one of the big ones. I've never played there and it's great to be in with a chance this season.
What Tim Cahill accomplished is quite legendary at Millwall and people still talk about him at the club.
It would be incredible to go all the way with Millwall. I certainly fancy us to reach the semis because we have home advantage against a team from our own division – and that's a huge plus.
It will be a hostile environment for them and they could certainly crumble under the pressure.
While our league form hasn't been great at home of late (four straight defeats) the cup is always something different and it's going to be big occasion.
We're one of those clubs that doesn't get a lot of good press – and it would be great to get noticed for all the right reasons for a change."
