Save Lewisham Hospital - the fight goes onSunday's FA Cup Quarter Final between Millwall and Blackburn Rovers will see the Club reiterate our support for the Save Lewisham Hospital campaign and also the Football League's chosen charity this season, Prostate Cancer UK.
Prior to kick-off there will be a team from the Save Lewisham Hospital campaign handing out leaflets in the car park promoting next Saturday's 'Born in Lewisham Hospital' event, which will see a human chain form and then circle Lewisham Hospital at around 2.30pm.
Prostate Cancer UK will also be holding a collection in the car park to raise funds whilst our support for the Peckham Foodback also continues, with collection boxes by the Blue Bus for fans to donate any spare tins of food, nappies or toiletries to help those suffering hardship amongst our local community.
Closer to the big match itself, skipper Danny Shittu and the rest of the Millwall's players will once again be wearing special 'Save Lewisham Hospital' t-shirts in their warm-up and then just before kick-off, local rapper Question Musiq will take to the pitch with members of the Lewisham NHS Healthcare Trust Choir to perform their recently released fundraising track SAVE LEWISHAM A&E!
Funds raised from the sale of the song through iTunes will be allocated to the Save Lewisham Hospital campaign's own legal funds to challenge the Secretary of State's decision to demolish 60 per cent of the Lewisham Hospital site.
