Rich pickings for KennySouthampton midfielder Richard Chaplow has today signed an emergency loan that will keep him at Millwall until Saturday 11th May.
Richard met his new team-mates for the first time on Friday morning and is expected to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's crunch lunchtime derby clash with Charlton Athletic.
The Accrington-born 28-year-old first rose to prominence as part of the Burnley side that knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup in 2005. Impressive performances for the Clarets and his reputation of an energetic playing style, earned him a £1.5m move to West Brom during the 2005 transfer window. Subsequent moves saw him enjoy stints at Preston North End and Southampton, for whom he has made over 60 appearances scoring seven goals and providing plenty of assists.
The former England U21 international operates in a central midfield role, but also offers an option on the right flank.
