Millwall Lionesses & Academy Trials

5 June 2013

Great opportunity for budding footballers

Millwall Lionesses FC and Millwall Community Trust are delighted to announce the trial dates for the 2013/14 season.
The Lionesses are recruiting for the first team, who will play in the FA Women's Super League Second Division, and for the reserve team who will play in the Women's Super League Reserve Southern Division.
Additionally, Millwall Community is currently recruiting girls for the Millwall Football and Education Scholarship programme which will launch in September 2013.
To qualify for the Football and Education scholarship, players must be eligible for Year 12 or Year 13 in September, and must have achieved or be on track to achieve 5 GCSE's.
The scholarship offers players the opportunity to achieve a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, which is equivalent to 3 A Levels, with the possibility to add additional A Level qualifications if required.
Millwall Lionesses are looking to recruit players who can strengthen the current team and who have the ambition and ability to perform at the highest level in women's football.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of former Lionesses, who include current England Women football manager Hope Powell, Pauline Cope and Katie Chapman to name but a few.
The trials are open for all girls and women aged 16 and older September 2013, and players must register in advance for the trials by visiting and following the Girls Only Activities Tab.
The trials will take place on Saturday 28th June from 3pm until 5pm at Club Well Hall, Kidbrooke Lane, Eltham, London, SE9 6TE. Registration will begin at 2.30pm.
