Lions defender predicted Yeovil
Millwall host Yeovil Town's first ever game in the Championship on 3rd August as the new season gets underway at The Den.
It will also be Steve Lomas' first competitive game in charge and mirrors the opening day League One fixture in 2006/7 when Darren Byfield was on target for The Lions in a 1-1 draw.
Millwall's resident clairvoyant Alan Dunne commented: "I knew it would be Yeovil first. I don't know why but I just felt we would get them on the opening day, either home or away.
I'm looking forward to the new season now. I've been keeping myself fit over the summer and we'll all be ready for work again next Monday.
Naturally, another fixture I was interested in was Boxing Day, which is good news as Watford's not far to travel so we'll get to spend some of Christmas Day at least with our families.
Leeds at home is one I always look out for, and with them coming to The Den at the end of September, a week after we go to Charlton, that will be an exciting period for us.
You always get a bit of a buzz when the fixtures come out. It means the season is just around the corner and after a bit of rest we'll be ready for it."
