Final countdown to the season's opener
With the countdown to the start of the Championship campaign approaching the final four days, manager Steve Lomas used a behind-closed-doors friendly against QPR on Monday night to give some of his squad crucial match minutes, and also run the rule over former West Brom defender Gianni Zuiverloon.
Midfielder Nicky Bailey was able to get his first match minutes in a Millwall shirt in a game that saw some clinical finishing by Josh Laurent and Dylan Carreiiro secure a 2-0 victory for the visitors.
Winger Lee Martin, who had been nursing a slight knee injury was also to get 45 minutes under his belt too, with Shane Lowry working his way back towards full match fitness playing until the 70th-minute mark, when he was replaced by Josh Siafa.
"It was obviously good to get Nicky Bailey out on the pitch for the first time," said manager Steve Lomas, "Both he and Lee Martin, who also got a half under his belt, are a bit behind so have a little bit of catching up to do, but yes, it was good seeing them out there along with Shane Lowry too.
At this stage it really isn't about results, it's about getting match minutes and not getting injured so tonight has been a good exercise on that front for all the senior boys that played."
