Striker Scott relishing fresh start
Scott McDonald became manager Steve Lomas' sixth signing of the summer - and Millwall's seventh in all since the end of last season - when he penned a two-year contract this week.
And now the former Middlesbrough striker is champing at the bit to get his first match minutes in a Millwall shirt, starting with the visit of La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano for Paul Robinson's testimonial on Saturday (3pm).
"I am delighted to be here and really looking forward to the challenge ahead" said Scott.
"It was nice to speak to the manager and someone who was really keen to have me at this football club. I'm here to play football, help the team and score goals."
Scott becomes the second player in a matter of days to swap the Riverside Stadium for SE16, following hot on the heels of midfielder Nicky Bailey who joined The Lions last week.
"Obviously I spoke to Nicky (Bailey) and he had nothing but good things to say about the guys here and when I heard that, and speaking to the manager, my mind was made up.
"It's a massive year for me. It's a fresh start and I want to be successful. I'm hungry to suceed.
I'm really looking forward to Saturday and playing against a La Liga side. I'm fit and raring to go. I can't wait!"
