Mark's charity walk

12 July 2013

Lions fan undertakes 30-mile challenge

Lions fan Mark Preston has been in touch with us asking if we could publicise a charity walk he is undertaking on Sunday 15th September.

Mark explains: "In February my dad, Patrick Preston, had a massive heart attack and twice died en route to Kings College Hospital in London.

Thankfully dad, who is an Executive Club season ticket holder, has been giving a clean bill of health following treatment. As a family we are all long-term Millwall fans. We are all just so glad to have him back including his grandsons Tyler Preston and Bailey Funnell, who are in the picture.

As a 'thank you' to the British Heart Foundation, the people who saved my dad, I am doing a 30-mile walk along the Military canal in Kent from Folkestone to Fairlight in East Sussex.

Hopefully I will be able to raise some funds so if any fellow supporters would like to make a donation it would be very much appreciated, whether it is pennies or pounds it all helps."
