Show your appreciation to a real Lion heart
Paul Robinson is counting down the minutes now as his testimonial against Rayo Vallecano fast approaches.
For Millwall club captain Robbo, patience really has been a virtue these past 12 months.
With his testimonial last year postponed because of the 2012 Olympics, Robbo is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to lead the team out at The Den on his big day tomorrow.
"That's right, the big day is just hours away now!" enthused Robbo, who has made 333 appearances and scored 23 goals for The Lions including that never-to-be-forgotten Wembley winner in the 2010 Play-Off Final.
"Saturday is going to be a special day for myself and everyone close to me, and hopefully everyone involved with the club too. It's been a great journey along the way and hopefully we can mark it with a great game at the weekend.
As well as that, there's the importance of impressing the new manager and staking a claim for a place the following week too."
Robbo is expected to start tomorrow's game and will lead the team out with his three daughters Ella (6), Izzy (4) and Maya (9months) who are special mascots for the day.
Manager Steve Lomas, taking charge of his first ever game at The Den, has named a 22-man squad for the Rayo Vallecano game including trialists Nicky Shorey and Gary Dicker, who has been training with the squad this week following his release by Brighton & HA.
Lions fans could also get an opportunity to look at summer signings including Richard Chaplow, Jermaine Easter and Steve Morison although fellow new additions Nicky Bailey and Scott McDonald are missing for Millwall, as are Liam Trotter, Lee Martin and John Marquis.
