Robbo relishing Crawley clash
Millwall skipper Paul Robinson has more reason than most to be counting down the minutes to Saturday's pre-season opener at Crawley Town as he looks forward to making his first competitive appearance since January. Now defender Paul, who has a testimonial against Rayo Vallecano on 27th July, cannot wait for this Saturday to come.
Speaking to millwallfc.co.uk he said: "It's been a while - so much so that I had to dig into my bag to make sure my shinpads were still there!
It's great to be named in the squad for tomorrow and is hopefully the end of a long road of rehabilitation and another start for me.
Although the manager hasn't announced the team yet, in early pre-season games it's an opportunity for him to try and have a look and assess the players he has.
From my point of view it has been really nice not to have to go through training worrying about injury now. I have really missed training with the lads and playing and have thoroughly enjoyed being back involved again. I cannot wait to get out there playing once more."
