Save Lewisham Hospital

Zampa the Lion and staff of Millwall FC today joined thousands of demonstrators to show our continued support against the planned closure of Lewisham Hospital's A&E department, maternity unit and Intensive Care Unit.

Representatives of the Save Lewisham Hospital campaign have been visible by their presence at our last two home games against Burnley and then Aston Villa last night, handing out thousands of leaflets and gathering just as many signatures in return against the proposed cuts.

A crowd estimated to be in the region of 20,000 this afternoon marched through Lewisham, past Lewisham Hospital - where Zampa stopped to meet some of the staff - before continuing on to Mountsfield Park in Catford.

The Millwall Blue Bus was also in attendance and a fantastic day came to a conclusion with a rally and live music.
