Young Lions fall just short
Millwall's Under 21s conceded two late goals to go down 3-2 in an entertaining encounter against Brighton on Friday afternoon.
Dylan Richards put The Lions ahead from 12 yards before conceding the penalty from which Albion equalised. Tobi Alabi restored Millwall's lead with a deflected 25 yard drive, but the The Seagulls turned the game on its head with two strikes in the last 15 minutes.
Afterwards Scott Fitzgerald commented: "The boys did very well and I thought we deserved to win. We were punished for some defensive sloppiness but overall I was pleased.
We had two first years in the side, Calum Webb at right back and Keaton Wood at centre back because we have an Under 18s fixture on Saturday so all the second years were rested for that.
It was a good game and a good performance from us."
