Things looking up for skipper JimmyJimmy Abdou admitted he's had a lot on his mind recently with the illness of young son Ilyas who remains in Marseilles with his family.
But he confirmed that things are looking up back at home and he's been grateful for the support of the club, his team-mates and the fans.
"Everyone has been great at Millwall," he said, "particularly the gaffer who has allowed me to go home when I needed to.
I'm happy to be back here playing football again, and two wins has been a great start to the New Year.
I was honoured to be made captain with Danny Shittu not playing, and to beat Preston and get through to the next round of the Cup made it even better."
Kenny Jackett and his stand-in skipper were both singing from the same hymn book as far as the fourth round draw is concerned.
"We want a big club in the next round ideally," said the manager. "We haven't really had one since I've been at Millwall and I think it's overdue."
