Giving it a go

25 January 2013

Andy Keogh features in tonight's matchday programme

It's almost a year to the day since Andy Keogh moved to The Den and he's become a key member of Kenny Jackett's squad, finding the net 16 times in 40 appearances. Tonight's tie, however, may well be his toughest task in a Lions shirt to date, and the Irishman looks ahead to the match in this evening's matchday programme.
"It's a great game to play in as it always will be against opposition from a higher division than you," Andy said. "We obviously want to go on a Cup run as well, and the game gives us an opportunity to have a little break from League matters."
Aston Villa have struggled of late in the Premier League, and were also knocked out in the Semi-Finals of the Capital One Cup to Bradford on Tuesday night. Despite that, Andy believes the side can take nothing for granted.
"You always have to be at your best in the Championship to get results so we know if has to be the same against a Premier League side.
As long as we work the way we work and play how we've been playing, with a high intensity, we can cause any team problems."
On top of our in-depth chat with Andy, we take an extensive look at our FA Cup history with Aston Villa as well as our usual look at the opposition squad.
For all the above and much, much more don't forget to pick up your copy of the matchday programme for just £3.
