Lions host 18th annual Community DaySaturday's match against Wigan Athletic marks Millwall's 18th annual community game here at The Den.
The aim of the community match is to highlight the ongoing work being undertaken by Millwall for All and the football club to engage the local community across the boroughs of Lewisham and Southwark.
This year's community match has been made possible through the support and generous sponsorship by Lewisham Council which has helped Millwall to make the fixture with Wigan accessible to more people from the immediate community than ever before. Vouchers for tickets have been distributed to dozens of local schools and junior football clubs, so there will be plenty of people experiencing their first ever Lions game at The Den on Saturday.
Over the past year, Millwall for All has been working hard in the local community to train and inspire young people between the ages of 16-24 who are not in education, training or employment to fulfil their potential.
Millwall for All continues to deliver a vast range of different initiatives across the local community, and Saturday's game is the chance to recognise that work and, hopefully, tempt hundreds of newcomers to The Den to return in the near future.
The Lions will be warming-up in Millwall for All t-shirts and Kick it Out Chairman Lord Herman Ouseley will also be in attendance, as well as Councillor Best from Lewisham and Councillor Michael Bukola from Southwark. See Saturday's matchday programme for more.
If you haven't purchased your ticket yet they are on general sale right up until kick-off. Don't forget that if you are a MSC member and purchase your ticket up until the day before the game you will receive a £3 reduction and if you are a Junior Lion you will receive a £2 reduction on your matchday ticket price.
