Manager bemoans a 'lack of creativity' in Boro defeatMillwall's unbeaten run at The Den came to an abrupt end with a 2-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough.
Second-half goals from Emmanuel Ledesma and Albert Adomah, both on the counter attack, condemned The Lions to a second straight defeat, and boss Steve Lomas couldn't hide his disappointment at the final whistle.
"It was a game played in very difficult conditions and as a result there wasn't a lot of quality on display from either side," he said.
"We started the second-hall well but they went and caught us on the counter attack when we had men forward. To concede again from our own attack is massively frustrating.
"After that we huffed and we puffed but the creativity we've shown in recent weeks at home just wasn't there. I'm disappointed and the players are disappointed.
"I understand the frustration of the fans because they want to see us win. We now have two big away games at Watford and at Doncaster, and our challenge is to improve on the road. This week is the time to do it."
