FA Youth Cup victoryMillwall's youngsters under Justin Skinner and Dave Livermore booked their place in the Fourth Round of the FA Youth Cup with an emphatic 3-0 victory against previously unbeaten Bradford City at Valley Parade on Tuesday night.
However, the scoreline did not quite tell the full story as the young Lions were made to fight every inch of the way for their success, and had to play out the final ten minutes a man short after Sid Nelson was dismissed following a second bookable offence.
Alfie Pavey opened the scoring just before the break when he chased down a back pass and slotted past the City keeper.
Pavey was also involved in the second goal on 70 minutes, combining well with fellow striker JP Rylah who netted with a forceful drive.
Fred Onyedinma wrapped up the scoring five minutes from time, robbing a Bantams defender and running half the length of the field before blasting over the helpless keeper.
Millwall: Beadle, Brown (Guinchard 60mins), Nelson, Wood, Farrell, Rylah (Peter 80mins), Thompson, Danquah, Onyedinma, Philpott (Adeloye 75mins), Pavey.
