Abdou says dressing room spirits are high in programme interviewMillwall head into Saturday's Championship game with Wigan Athletic looking to make it seven matches without defeat at The Den.
Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest continued Millwall's recent good form at home, but it has been performances on the road that have been more of a concern, and Jimmy Abdou, speaking in Saturday's edition of The Lion, says he and his team-mates are doing all they can to turn their away fortunes around.
"We have found a way to be strong at home so our challenge now is to try and find those same kind of performances away," he says. "Our fans at The Den are great and we enjoy playing in front of them, that's a big thing, but away we need to be stronger and harder to play against."
Millwall go into the game 20th in the Championship - four points and five positions away from Wigan - but are just three points clear of the dropzone. Jimmy, however, insists that he nor his team-mates are too concerned by what the table says at this relatively early stage of the campaign.
"We always knew it was going to be a tough season, that's how the Championship is," he tells The Lion. "We would have liked to have picked up more points than what we have at the moment, but there is still a long way to go and so many games to play - matches that we believe we can win."
