Trotter could return against SwansSome good news for Steve Lomas at last.
Midfielder Liam Trotter is pencilled in for his competitive action of the season in the Under 21 fixture against Swansea City at The Den on Friday afternoon (kick-off 2pm).
Trotts, who had knee surgery earlier in the summer has been back in full training and the manager expects him to play some part against The Swans.
"Liam will hopefully get some game time on Friday," explained Steve, "and I for one will be delighted to see him back available for the first team before too long.
"There are not too many 6'3" midfielders capable of scoring goals operating at this level and he has been a big miss for us."
Keeper David Forde, who also had a knee op following the Yeovil game, also hopes to be back in action before too long and the Lions boss anticipates he will train next week.
"While Stephen Bywater has been doing a good job in his absence," Steve added. "David has been in great form over the past six months in particular, so to have him back in the squad will be another major plus for us."
