Steve Lomas rued the defensive errors that helped Ipswich Town kick-start their season with a 3-0 win at Portman Road.
Own goals from Shane Lowry and Mark Beevers either side of a thumping header from Tommy Smith left The Lions looking for their first goals and points of the new Championship campaign.
Speaking after Saturday's game boss Steve told Lions Player: "In the first half we were trying to suss each other out and there was not much in it between the two teams.
We came out on the front foot after the break and had a great chance when Chappie (Richard Chaplow) headed just wide.
The first goal was a mistake when we should have cleared the ball, and we went a bit ragged after that when we should have carried on doing the right things that we had been doing at the start of the second half.
A couple of the goals conceded from our point of view were very, very poor and I'm disappointed with that."
