Support Foodbank again this season
Millwall fans received great praise for their support of Peckham Foodbank last season, including in Time Out magazine.
The Lions are the only club officially supporting local people in desperate need in its locality in this fashion, but it only works thanks to the generosity of our supporters.
Last year Trussell Trust Foodbanks gave emergency food to 346,992 people in crisis and Foodbanks, including Peckham Foodbank in Peckham High Street, are helping thousands of people every week.
Unfortunately, there are still thousands of men, women and children going hungry in towns across the UK.
Lions players including James Henry, Jimmy Abdou and Paul Robinson along with members of staff at The Den and training ground regularly donate a few items of non-perishable food, so it will be hugely appreciated.bring along a spare tin or packet to put in the boxes by the Blue Bus at the Huddersfield game if you are able to
Any of the following would be most gratefully received: Tinned meat, UHT Milk, Sugar (500g), Fruit Juice (carton), Soup, Pasta Sauces, Sponge Pudding (tinned), Tomatoes (tinned), Cereals , Rice Pudding (tinned), Tea Bags/Instant Coffee, Instant Mash Potato, Rice, Vegetables (tinned), Fruit (tinned), Biscuits or Snack Bars.
Items not needed at the moment: Baked Beans and Pasta.
