All set for Yeovil clashMillwall manager Steve Lomas takes charge of his first competitive game at the club against Yeovil Town in Saturday's Championship curtain raiser at The Den.
Since his appointment, the 39-year-old has been busy adding depth and quality to his squad with six new signings, some more familiar than others, in the form of Stephen Bywater, Steve Morison, Lee Martin, Richard Chaplow, Nicky Bailey and Scott McDonald.
Both Morison and Chaplow could make their second debuts for the club against The Glovers come 3pm tomorrow, and Martin, Bailey and McDonald could all be pushing for places in the squad for Lomas takes his managerial bow for the club at The Den.
Saturday's visitors are looking forward to their first ever Championship game after boss Gary Johnson led them to promotion via the League One Play-Offs back in May. It will be important, however, not to get caught up in the occasions, Steve says.
"We have got to do our own jobs and responsibilities," Lomas told Lions Player. "We have to come together as a team and focus on that. You have to keep their dangermen quiet; Madden and Hayter up front are a handful and Upson in midfield. But we'll be prepared for that and have got to focus on our own game.
"First days are notoriously hot and you have to deal with that, too. But it should be a good game of football. Yeovil play in a good manner and we'll certainly be looking to do the same."
