Vocal support the key
Lions boss Kenny Jackett believes that the vocal support of the fans not only played a key role in Tuesday night's win against Watford - but could be a crucial factor in any possible success in tomorrow's early kick-off at Huddersfield Town (12.30pm).
Millwall were at times on the back-foot in the Watford match, absorbing a lot of pressure from the visitors but it was the roar of the home fans that visibly lifted the team in the second-half and pushed the team on to a crucial victory courtesy of Shaun Batt's late strike.
"You could see on Tuesday night in the second half there was a fantastic response from the crowd and then the players," said Kenny.
"Against Watford in the first half we got the run-around and did very well with some great blocks and last-ditch tackles made sure we hung in there.
We got a bit of a chasing in the first half but after the break the crowd really came into play and lifted the players.
It was much more even and competitive.
We were then the ones who got the one goal that was needed to go on and win the game, so I saw a fantastic pulling together of everybody led by the crowd in the second half.
The support, as ever, will be a vital cog in the wheel towards success."
