Latest from the treatment room
The games have been coming thick and fast for The Lions with an incredible eight matches in 26 days - and a further three in seven days to come.
It's been a busy time for physio Bobby Bacic and his medical team too, and here he brings us the very latest from the treatment room following last night's game with Blackburn Rovers.
"We picked up no new injuries yesterday," said Bobby, "And those in the treatment room are progressing well.
Adam Smith is due to return to training tomorrow after his illness. Liam Trotter is currently doing outdoor work after his knee inflammation which has now settled and Sean St Ledger is also progressing very well from his ankle injury and also has one eye on a return to full training.
Chris Taylor has had a groin problem which he has managed very well and shown a gutsy attitude by playing through the pain barrier on a number of ocassions.
The plan was always to try and nurse him as far towards the end of the season as safely possible.
He has started his course of rehab now alongside some specialist injections to aid his full recovery which we are very confident about.
Paul Robinson is seeing the specialist on Thursday with a view to get the green light to start running. We are also confident that he will be given this as he is looking very strong at present. His target is for a return in pre-season."
